Hi Reader,
On Monday, we finished the first round of Cook to Feel Steady.
Creating it was such an interesting experience.
When I first started putting it together, I thought it was about food. Five simple meals. A few practical Ayurvedic principles. Recipes people could come back to.
Those things are all part of it.
But something else emerged as I cooked the meals over five days.
Each morning I already knew what I was making. The ingredients were prepped. The decision had already been made.
And something unexpected happened. I stopped thinking about food. There was no wondering what to cook. No opening the fridge hoping for inspiration. No mental negotiation about whether I could be bothered.
One nourishing meal had already been decided, and that created far more space than I expected. It made me realise that this experience isn't really about collecting another five recipes.
It's about creating one steady point in your day. A meal you don't have to overthink. A meal you know will leave you feeling nourished and satisfied. That steadiness stayed with me long after lunch was over.
It also made me wonder...
How much of your day is spent thinking about food?
What would it feel like if one nourishing meal had already been taken care of?
That's exactly why I've decided to run Cook to Feel Steady again later this month.
It's a five-day seasonal cooking experience where we'll cook one nourishing meal together each day using simple ingredients and practical Ayurvedic principles.
The recipes matter. The confidence you build matters even more.
And perhaps the biggest shift is discovering how much mental space opens up when one decision has already been made.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy experiencing, I'd love you to join us.
